Mobileye Makes Travel Safer with Smart Technology

Mobileye exhibited at the 2019 Beijing International Road Transport, Urban Bus Vehicles and Components Exhibition and brought a Beijing bus equipped with the ME630 safety collision warning system to the exhibition hall.

Mobileye's Shield+ system for buses and large municipal vehicles - consisting of a main detector mounted on the inside of the windshield, an EyeWatch display mounted on the bottom corner of the windshield, and signal lights in the four corners of the car - was the main focus of the exhibition. According to Mobileye staff, the system is designed to solve the problems of large blind spots and turning radii in buses and large vehicles, optimizing driver efficiency and safety on congested roadways.

Mobileye has entered into a strategic partnership with Beijing Public Transportation Group and Beijing Beitai Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Industry and Trade Co. The solution will be deployed for the first time in 2022.

Regarding the future, Mr. Tong Lifeng, General Manager of Mobileye Greater China, said the company does not rule out expanding its R&D scope. As a 20-year-old developer of autonomous driving technology, Mobileye will "dig deeper into the needs of public transportation to further enhance the strategic position of IMS."
