The First City-owned SOE Headquarters Building in the Beijing City Sub-center Officially Started



On the morning of August 12, the project of Beitou Building, the headquarters building of Beitou Group, officially started! This is also the first city-owned SOE headquarters building in the Beijing City Sub-center!



This morning, along with the roar of excavators and transport trucks, Li Changli, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Beitou Group, announced - "Construction of Beitou Tower begins! According to the plan, the main structure of the project will be topped out in July 2022, and completed and accepted in September 2023.

             



Beitou Building is located on the east side of the administrative office area of the Beijing City Sub-center, west of the Tongzhou campus of Renmin University, and near the Dong Xia Yuan Station of Metro Line 6, with a total building scale of about 110,000 square meters.

From the plan, the architectural intent is symbolized by the traditional Chinese ceremonial vessel "Ding", with the main body rising and projecting from the center, becoming the center of the architectural spirit and sculptural intent. The base unfolds horizontally, and the spreading platform base reflects the main body, and the boundary echoes the curved road, becoming an urban space square open to the city.

                                    


According to Gao Xiaoqiang, deputy general manager of Beitou Group, Beitou Tower upholds the concept of green, low-carbon and renewable energy design, and aims at green three-star and healthy three-star design to create a model of low-carbon and energy-saving architecture.

How does the project achieve low carbon and energy saving?

Reasonable building layout, natural ventilation and light

The office space of Beitou Building adopts the form of small depth, which fully obtains natural light and enhances the comfort of use. The office space and central lobby of the building can achieve complete natural ventilation, and most areas on the office floor can achieve natural smoke exhaust, reducing the frequency of mechanical ventilation and air conditioning systems, which is conducive to energy saving and consumption reduction.

Rooftop garden design, expanding green space

Beitou Building sets up a large roof garden, which increases the area of green plants, opens up green space, and guarantees the ecological balance and good environment of the roof area.

Compared with the ordinary roof, the green plant soil has excellent heat preservation and water retention, which can naturally adjust the surrounding temperature moderate and reduce the building air-conditioning load. During operation, the roof garden can realize rainwater storage and utilization, reduce irrigation water demand, and realize low-carbon maintenance.

Energy-efficient equipment to help green development

The project of Beitou Building plans and designs a composite energy system of "ground source heat pump + municipal heat + chiller + ice storage cooling" to meet the demand of building cooling in summer and heating in winter.

The ground source heat pump system uses the shallow geothermal resources on the earth's surface as the cooling and heating source of the air conditioning system, and can obtain about 4 kilowatts of heat energy with the input of 1 kilowatt of electric energy in winter, which is more than 60% more efficient than the traditional heating system and is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1,220 tons per year.

Meanwhile, in order to maximize the use of solar energy resources, the roof of Beitou Building is equipped with a photovoltaic system of about 3,700 square meters, with an installed capacity of 403.2 kilowatts, generating about 394,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per year and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 238 tons.

It is understood that as early as October 2019, Beitou Group's headquarters had already moved into the Beijing City Sub-center, when there was no mature office space, the Group used the temporary boarding house located next to Lucheng subway station as the Group's office space.

Thus, Beitou Group became the first state-owned enterprise of the city to move into the Beijing City Sub-center, practicing its duties as a state-owned enterprise with practical actions, playing its mission and responsibility as a platform enterprise for investment and construction of the Beijing City Sub-center, and driving state-owned enterprises of the city to participate in the construction of the Beijing City Sub-center.

Up to now, Beitou Group has undertaken more than 150 projects in the Beijing City Sub-center, with a total investment scale of nearly 380 billion yuan. Among them, including the construction of urban green heart, three major buildings and shared supporting facilities projects in the Beijing City Sub-center, the construction and operation work of Zhangjiawan Design Town and Taihu Performing Arts Town, the construction of key projects such as the double repair of the old city and the Home Center.
